What is the InfoGrid?

The InfoGrid is you. A grid is a form of distributed computing that utilizes client computers' idle processing power to handle programs written for this model. When you download the client it loads onto your system and waits until your computer is idle. Then it checks in with the grid server located at Infonomicon HQ. If there is a job running on that server then the node grabs a piece and processes that data. After it sends back the processed data it checks for another task to complete. If you are using your computer the grid will not utilize its processor. The grid will only use your computer as a node when you are not using it.
