Resources for Amateur Locksmiths
What is this?
The idea I had for this project is to collect documentation and resources for amateur locksmiths.
There are plenty of sites with at least basic info about lockpicking and bumpkeying, but few pages with
documentation and specifications of the locks and keys themselves. This is a basic collection of
links to lock manufacturer recommendations and specs, patent documents, research papers, space and depth charts for
various key types, impressioning and bypass info, as well as presentations from various conferences
about physical security.
Can I help?
Hell yeah... Send links to any in-depth info you can find(or create) about locks and keys to phizone -at- gmail.com.
Items we are not looking for include basic lockpicking documents and videos. If there is a review
of the basics before delving into more advanced topics that's great, but remember the target audience for
this project is the intermediate level amateur locksmith.
